Events explanations
225 Bench
The bar can be lifted off, must touch the chest and be locked out completely. Only full reps will be counted (judge will call rep number out if a good lift). Shoulders, butt, and feet must stay in contact with the floor (or plates for shorter participants). The number of reps will be the score. Participants may wear a belt, wrist wraps and elbow sleeves (not wraps, cannot obscure judges view) but may not wear a bench shirt.
Yoke Squat (550+ pounds)
The yoke will be lifted and set down as many times as possible in two minutes. Legs must lock out on each rep (judge’s discretion), height will be set at nipple line at the upright bar for the bottom pin holding the yoke bar. Participants can wear belts and knee sleeves (cannot obscure judge’s view) but may not wear knee wraps or a squat suit.
Iron Cross (10 pounds each)
Safety bars will be set at nipple line height, the axes will be lifted and placed in the competitors hands above the safety bars, the axes must be held for as long as possible, once the arms touch the safety bars the time will end and will count as the score, the hands may not be higher than eye level, elbows must remain locked out (overhand grip is suggested). The participants may wear a belt, wrist wraps, and elbow sleeves (cannot obscure the judge’s view of the elbow). There can be two height (above eye level) warnings and on the third the participant will be disqualified.
Tire Flip (400+ pounds)
The tire will be flipped down a course to the finish line with the time it takes being the score, if the finish line is not reached the distance from the starting line to the closest edge of the tire will be the score. There will be a 2 minute time limit. Participants may use a belt and gloves.
Truck Pull (full-size Dodge)
Pulling starts on the whistle and the truck is pulled (facing forward) to the finish line the fastest time being best, if the distance is not covered the distance covered in 2 min. will be measured for the score.
Farmer’s Walk (185 pounds each)
The farmer's walk will be lifted and moved down a course and back, they can be set down as many times as needed, the time to get the farmer's walk down and back will count as the score or the distance covered in 2 min. will be the score.
Keg Relay (from 100-160 pounds)
Each keg will be taken from one end of a course to the other end of the course and placed on a flatbed upright. The time to get all the kegs into the proper placement will count as the score or the fastest time to place the kegs if all the kegs cannot be placed in 2 min. will count as the score. Participants must go from lightest to heaviest moving one keg at a time and cannot move on to the next keg until the previous one has been properly placed, the kegs must be carried to the flatbed (no rolling). At the start the participants must have one hand on the 100 lb keg, only one. Participants may wear a belt, gloves, wrist wraps, and arm sleeves.
