SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA women’s golf team heads to Lookout Mountain, Ga., for the Lady Mocs Intercollegiate, which will be contested at the Lookout Mountain Golf Course (6,117 yards/par 72).
"We are looking forward to playing in this week's event,” head coach Carrie Cole said. “The last round at Baylor really fired everyone up to step up their games and work harder. I am happy with how the team is playing right now. I truly believe each of the five players we put out there can shoot a low number at any time and not many teams can say that. If we can handle the cooler weather there and stay focused, I know we will be competitive in this event."
Butler, Chattanooga, Jacksonville State, Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe, Oakland, UTSA, Troy, Winthrop and Wofford comprise the 10-team field.
The Roadrunners are coming a 10th place showing at the Baylor Invitational two weeks ago with a 952 (316-306-330) at the Twin Rivers Golf Course.
