Men?s golf to travel to Bayou State for Louisiana Classic

SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA men’s golf team heads to the Bayou State for the Louisiana Classic. The two-day tournament, which will be hosted by Louisiana-Lafayette at the Oakbourne Country Club (7,141 yards/par 72), begins on Monday with first-and second-round action followed by the final 18 holes the next day.

“The Louisiana Classic is one of the oldest college events,” head coach John Knauer said. “We are pleased to be a part of it and look forward to competing with some good teams.”

The Roadrunners last competed at Oak Hills Invitational where they finished in 11th place with a final scorecard of 895 (304-293-298). Senior Kyle Collins led the Runners with a two-day total of 216 (69-73-74), which was good for 17th place.
