Roadrunners men win four gold medals at this weekend's UTSA Relays

Freshman Cole Reveal won two races this weekend.

SAN ANTONIO ? UTSA received gold-medal performances from freshmen Cole Reveal (1,500m/3k) and Albert Cardenas (Olympic Development 1,500m) in addition to sophomore Kyle Kaase (javelin) and the Roadrunners continued their strong start to the outdoor campaign at this weekend's UTSA Relays at Blossom Stadium.

Reveal began his weekend by leading a 1-2-3-4 finish in Friday's 3,000m with a time of 8:49.17. He then came back on Saturday and was victorious in the 1,500m in 4:02.89.

Cardenas, meanwhile, won the Olympic Development division of the the 1,500m in 4:16.07 after taking silver the previous night in the 800m (1:58.02).

Kaase claimed top honors in the javelin with his throw of 178-1 (54.29m).

The Roadrunners added 10 runner-up finishes in the meet.

UTSA will be in action next week when it travels to Austin for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The four-day meet begins on Wednesday, April 1, at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
