WACO ? The UTSA women’s golf team shot a final round 330 on Tuesday and finished the two-day Baylor Invitational with a scorecard of 952, which was good for 10th place at the Twin Rivers Golf Course (par 72/6,349 yards).
Senior Laura Baker closed out the tournament tied for 14th after shooting a final-round 81 for a two-day total of 233. Meanwhile, senior Allie Jordan capped off her day two strokes behind Baker and finished tied for 23rd. Junior Shelly Martinez tied for 35th with scores of 81-76-83?240, while freshman Shannon Jungman registered a three-round tally of 245.
Illinois State held off New Mexico by four strokes (927) en route to winning the team title. Meanwhile, SMU’s Kate Anderson collected the individual crown after shooting a pair of 74s and 75 for a total of 223.
UTSA returns to action at the Lady Mocs Intercollegiate on April 6-7.
