SAN ANTONIO ? UTSA women’s tennis takes a short break from Southland Conference play when it hosts No. 42 Yale at noon on Thursday (subject to change due to pending inclement weather). The Roadrunners then will return to league action at 2 p.m. three days later when they square off against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (please note time & date change). It will be the continuation of the team's season-long five-match home stand.
UTSA (9-4) has been unstoppable the last three weeks, having won their last five matches, and the Birds are off to a perfect 4-0 start to the conference season.
The Bulldogs (7-4) have split their first two contests of a four-match road trip in the state of Texas. Yale lost to SMU but came back the next day to defeat UT Arlington.
Meanwhile, the Islanders head into Saturday’s match with a 3-4 overall ledger and they lost their SLC opener last Saturday to Northwestern State, 5-2.
This weekend’s matches will be played at the UTSA Tennis Complex and admission to all home matches is free.
