VICTORIA ? Seniors Laura Baker and Allie Jordan finished tied for
eighth place with two-day tallies of 231 to lead the UTSA
women’s golf team to a fourth-place showing at this week's Claud Jacobs
Intercollegiate.
The Roadrunners fired a scorecard of 937 (308-319-310) to finish two
strokes behind Arkansas State, which wrapped the event in third with a
935. Meanwhile, Texas State claimed the team title with a final total
of 920.
Jordan and Baker shot final rounds of 74 and 81, respectively, en route
to their eighth-place performances in the individual standings.
Junior
Shelly Martinez capped off her day with a 76 and finished at 236, which was good for 22nd place, while freshman Shannon Jungman was three strokes behind in 28th. Junior Madison McClain
produced a three-round total of 250 and freshman Bruna
Spengler, who was playing as an individual, registered a 27th-place
outing with an overall score of 238.
