UTSA to begin league play on road this weekend

SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA women’s tennis team kicks off Southland Conference play on the road this weekend with 10 a.m. matches at Nicholls (2-0) on Saturday and Southeastern Louisiana (3-2) the following morning.

The Roadunners (5-4) enter the weekend well rested, having not played since an afternoon matchup on Sunday, Feb. 15, with Texas-Pan American. UTSA won that match, 7-0.

Third-year head coach Erin Boisclair has led UTSA to the conference tournament in each of her first two seasons at the helm. In 2006-07, the Runners fell in the first round to UT-Arlington, 4-2. The Roadrunners made it to the semifinals last season, losing to defending SLC champion Southeastern Louisiana, 4-0.

UTSA will return home for a pair of conference matchups next weekend against Central Arkansas (March 7) and Northwestern State (March 8).
