SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA women’s tennis team looks to get back on the winning track this weekend with two home matches. The Roadrunners will host North Texas at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Texas-Pan American at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
UTSA comes hot off a 2-1 weekend in El Paso, defeating New Mexico State and Western New Mexico before losing a tough 4-3 decision to UTEP. Senior Nathalie Wallin went 2-1 in doubles and 3-0 at No. 2 singles play last weekend to lead the Roadrunners to their success. She defeated all of her singles opponents in straight sets and never allotted her opponent more than two games within each set.
The Mean Green are coming off two consecutive victories and currently hold a 4-2 record, including three 7-0 victories. Led by sole senior Rachel Wilhelm, UNT presents a young team with two freshmen, five sophomores and one junior.
UTPA enters its eighth contest of the season. The team has a combination of young and experienced players in three freshman and four juniors. The Broncs face Texas State one day prior to opposing the Roadrunners.
