SAN ANTONIO ? Senior forward Ryba Pawlaczyk was named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV second team on Thursday.
The Wroclaw, Poland, native maintains a 3.32 grade-point average in biology and clinical lab. She is averaging career bests in points (9.1 ppg) and rebounds (9.2 rpg) per game this season. Pawlaczyk ranks third in in the league rebounds and block shots (1.7 pg) per contest and she has tallied six double-doubles on the season, with the latest one coming against Lamar on Jan. 31 (13 points, 14 rebounds). Earlier in the year, she scored a career-best 24 points in the win against Huston-Tillotson on Dec. 6.
Pawlaczyk and the Roadrunners return to action with a 2 p.m. home game on Saturday against Southeastern Louisiana.
