SAN ANTONIO ? Long-time UTSA Athletics donor Jimmy Cavender (center) recently presented UTSA Athletic Director Lynn Hickey and Senior Associate Athletic Director Brad Parrott with a donation in support of the "Step Up UTSA" initiative.
The University of Texas Board of Regents recently approved the Athletic Initiative Business Plan that includes the addition of football. The plan calls for raising $15 million over the next five years through the "StepUpUTSA" initiative. Funds will be used to pay coaches salaries, fund scholarships and help construct football practice fields.
