DORAL, Fla. ? Paola Valerio, who signed with UTSA in November, turned in scores of 74, 73 and 82 (229), which was good enough for 13th place at the 2008 Doral-Pulbix Junior Golf Classic held at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa (par 72/6,754 yards).
The Mexico City native advanced to the championship flight after shooting a two-round total of 147. Valerio trailed a trio of players by two strokes in the individual standings but fired a 10-over-par on the final day for a three-round total of 229 and wrapped up her tournament run in 13th place.
