STOCKTON, Calif. ? The UTSA men’s golf team closed out its fall season with a 12th-place showing at the Pacific Invitational on Wednesday at Brookside Country Club.
After shooting rounds of 297 and 302 on the first two days, the Roadrunners carded a four-over-par 292 on Wednesday to finish the 54-hole tournament with an 891.
Senior Kyle Collins tied for 23rd after turning in a scorecard of 73-72-73=218. Freshman Lewis Chong wrapped up his fall campaign with scores of 74-75-74=213 and tied for 46th place.
Meanwhile, freshman Payne Wilkie ended the tournament one stroke behind Chong with a three-day total of 224. Also in action were juniors Emiliano Martinez and Phillip Hui, who finished with totals of 228 and 231, respectively.
UTSA begins its spring season at the New Orleans Invitational on Feb. 9-10.
