STOCKTON, Calif. ? The UTSA men’s golf team shot a second-round score of 302 and are in 12th place at the Pacific Invitationall, which is being played at the Brookside Country Club.
“We over thought things today and were not loose,” head coach John Knauer said. “Our guys made some poor decisions on the course. We will address this issue tonight and get ready for tomorrow’s final round. Although no one is happy, we are learning and will grow from this.”
Senior Kyle Collins has rounds of 73 and 72 and is tied for 20th at three-over par. Freshman Lewis Chong ended his second round with a 75 and sits tied for 46th, while freshman Payne Wilkie shot a 76 on the day.
UTSA concludes play with the final round on Wednesday morning.
