SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA men’s tennis team heads to College Station for the Wilson/ITA South Central Regionals this weekend, The four-day event begins on Saturday and ends on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
The Roadrunners are coming off a good showing at the UTSA Invitational held on Oct. 10-11.
Sophomore Max Stratmann collected his first career individual title, after defeating David Pace from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) to capture his first crown in a UTSA uniform.
Meanwhile, freshman Jorge Delgado won his semifinal match, a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Alex Pavlov from TAMU-CC, to advance to the Orange Draw Singles finals against Jose Tolentino from Laredo Community College. However, Delgado fell to Tolentino in straight sets (6-4, 6-2).
