HUNTSVILLE ? Freshman Cole Reveal placed 17th to lead the effort by four members of the UTSA men’s cross country team on Saturday at the Sam Houston State Invitational.
Reveal clocked a time of 20:03.70 on the 6,200-meter Kate Barr-Ross Memorial Park Course. The 17th-place showing marked his best individual finish on the season, topping a 25th-place performance at the Ricardo Romo Classic last month.
Fellow freshman Eric Doll was not far behind, crossing in 20:30.50 for 30th place. Redshirt freshman Al Johnson and sophomore Dominick Zucconi finished 46th (21:16.70) and 55th (21:55.20), as UTSA did not compete as a full team.
Patrick Strong of North Texas was the top collegian finisher (19:01.90), while McNeese State edged North Texas, 52-65, for the team title.
UTSA returns to the course on Monday, Nov. 3, when it travels to Nacogdoches, Texas, to compete in the Southland Conference Championships.
