 Sophomore Kendra Rowland had 19 more kills on Friday night.

CHICAGO ? UTSA got a match-high 19 kills from sophomore outside hitter Kendra Rowland and 13 more from sophomore middle hitter Valorie Rogers and the Roadrunners cruised to their second win in a row with a 25-23, 16-25, 25-22, 25-22 at DePaul on Friday night at the DePaul Invitational.

UTSA, which improved to 3-6 on the season, won for the first time in three all-time meetings with the Blue Demons (1-5).

Rowland had just seven errors in 45 attacks for a .267 hitting percentage and Rogers was even more effective in her 27 swings, as she hit .370 to go along with three block assists. Freshman setter Amber Brooks dished out 47 assists, while freshman Kelsey Jewasko and senior Audrey Hiser both were in double figures with 16 and 14 digs, respectively.

Three of the four sets were nip and tuck, as the first, third and fourth sets featured a combined 27 ties and dozen lead changes.

Sarah Cullen had a team-high 16 winners for DePaul and libero Katherine Knutson collected 19 digs.

The Roadrunners conclude tournament play with a pair of matches on Saturday. UTSA plays Denver (6-1) at 10 a.m. followed by a 5 p.m. contest against Ball State (2-7). Both matches can be heard live on goUTSA.com.
