SAN ANTONIO ? UTSA head men's track & field coach Aaron Fox announced Tuesday his signing class for the upcoming 2008-09 season.
"This is another strong class for us," Fox said. "The coaching staff did a great job of finding quality athletes that will help us right away. When we hit the recruiting trail last fall, we were looking for kids that were solid across the board and by that I mean successful in the classroom in addition to the track. We accomplished that goal and I am looking forward to seeing them in action next season."
Thirteen athletes will be joining the program this fall and they are Daniel Balbontin (Katy, Texas/Mayde Creek HS), Geulien Brisco (Austin, Texas/Bowie HS), Albert Cardenas (Converse, Texas/Judson HS), Michael Cook (Magnolia, Texas/Magnolia HS), Eric Doll (Katy, Texas/Mayde Creek HS), Greg Gabrisch (Humble, Texas/Kingwood HS), Ivan Garcia (Laredo, Texas/Alexander HS), Jeff Herron (Sugar Land, Texas/Austin HS), Isah Muhammed (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto HS), Layne Nixon (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands HS), Cole Reveal (Frisco, Texas/Centennial HS), Darryl White (Romulus, Michigan/Romulus HS) and Edmond Yeboah (Uppland Vasby, Sweden/Louisville/Walthers Gymnasium).
