NACOGDOCHES ? The No. 5 seed UTSA women?s tennis team season came to end on Saturday when top-seeded Southeastern Louisiana collected a 4-0 win in the Southland Conference semifinals at the SFA Tennis Complex.

The Lady Lions (22-2) began the match by winning the doubles points to take an early 1-0 lead over the Roadrunners (10-13).

In singles action, Bonnie Phillips defeated freshman Caroline Dedering 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 5 position to give Southeastern Louisiana a 2-0 advantage. Junior Nathalie Wallin fell to Iva Velkovska by scores of 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 and the Lady Lions clinched the match when Nina Knavs handed junior Eva Silvester a straight-sets loss (6-4, 6-4) at the No. 6 slot.
