Roadrunners men to head to Austin for 81st annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

SAN ANTONIO ? Head coach Aaron Fox and his UTSA men's track & field team returns to action this week when it competes at the prestigious Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin. The four-day event kicks off on Wednesday and runs through Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Eleven Roadrunners ? seniors Steven Brown (100 meters/long jump), Luke Johnson (hammer/shot put) and Will Vese (110-meter hurdles); sophomores Marcus Bibles (high jump), Corey Vargas (1,500 meters), Teddy Williams (100 meters) and Johnathan Whittaker (high jump); and freshmen Kevin Hunt (100 meters), John Matthews (400-meter hurdles/110-meter hurdles), P.J. McGowen (high jump) and Terrence Watson (400-meter hurdles) ? will compete in eight individual events and the Fox also has entered four relay squads (4x1, 4x2, 4x4 and distance medley).

Leading the way for UTSA this weekend are Brown (10.46w/100m),  McGowen (2.10m/high jump) and Vese (school-record 13.81w/110m hurdles), all of whom have registered NCAA Regional qualifying marks in their respective events this year. The Roadrunners have 11 won titles through the campaign's first three meets.
