Roadrunners to compete in Texas Twilight this Saturday

SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA women’s track & field team will return to action this Saturday at the Texas Twilight, which will be held at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. The non-scored meet gets underway with the field events at 2 p.m., followed by running events that begin at 4:30 p.m.

The Roadrunners are coming off a solid showing at last Saturday's Javelina Invitational in Kingsville. Senior Chelsea Malina, sophomores Faith Barlow and Dana Mecke and the 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams all were victorious, while senior Brittany Epps, who ran on both relays, punched her ticket to the NCAA Midwest Regional in the long jump with a personal-best and regional-qualifying mark of 20-0 ? inches to finish second. Epps was named SLC Co-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday for her efforts.
