LAKE CHARLES, La. ? The UTSA men’s golf team carded a 301 on Tuesday andnow stand in ninth place after two rounds of the 2008 Southland ConferenceGolf Championship, which is being played at the Gray Plantation Golf Course.
Seniors Thomas Kearney and Nick Olivarri finished the day tied for 16th with atwo-day total of 149. Olivarri began the day tied for 23rdplace but moved up the leaderboard after shooting even par 72 in the secondround. Sophomore Simor Merry carded a 78 and is tied for 31st, while senior Shane Costelloe is three strokes behind Merry in 37th place.
The Roadrunners conclude play on Wednesday morning.
