SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA men’s tennis team hits the road this weekend for a pair of matches against Southland Conference foe Lamar on Saturday and a non-league tilt at Southern the following morning.
The Roadrunners (6-11, 1-3 SLC) are a victory behind Texas-Pan American for the sixth and final spot of the SLC Tournament. UTSA dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last Saturday. Freshman Daniel Moreiras continues to lead the Birds with a team-best 12 singles victories.
The Cardinals are 7-13 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Lamar split a pair of matches last week, falling 4-3 at UT Arlington Saturday before picking up a 5-2 victory over Nicholls State the following afternoon in Beaumont.
The Jaguars (8-9) are coming off a 7-0 defeat by Southeastern Louisiana on Wedneday in Baton Rouge, La.
