The UTSA men’s tennis team handed Santa Clara a 7-0 loss on Sunday afternoon in non-conferenceaction.
The Roadrunners (5-8) swept all three doubles matches to take the early 1-0 leadover the Broncos (2-9).
UTSA then won all six singles contests in straight sets.
Freshman Daniel Moreiras collected his team-leading eighth win of the seasonwith a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Justin Wong to give the Roadrunners a 2-0 edge. UTSAtook a commanding 3-0 lead when senior Adam Becker won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 4position. Junior Andre Moreira clinched the match after coming off the courtwith a 6-2, 6-1 win against Senthil Chidambaram at the No. 3 slot.
The Roadrunners return home for a three-match home stand that begins on Friday, March 21, against UT Arlington.
