FRISCO ? Freshman Daniel Moreiras collected Southland Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Moreiras went 3-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles action last week. The San Antonio native defeated Jorge Delgado of Louisiana-Lafayette in three sets (2-6, 6-3, 7-5) on Friday before posting a 6-0, 6-0 win against Sami Mouline from Nicholls StateĀ the following day. He then had a straight-sets win against Jakub Kwasniewicz of Southeastern Louisiana (6-1, 6-2) on Sunday that clinched the 5-2 victory for the Roadrunners.
UTSA is in the midst of a three-match road trip in California.
