HUNTSVILLE ? Sophomore Shelly Martinez finished tied for eighth after posting a pair of 76s (152) at this week's SHSU/LU Spring Invitational. The Roadrunners turned in a team total 316-314=630 for a sixth-place showing.
Senior Lesan Gouge and junior Allie Jordan each fired a two-round total of 160 and tied for 28th place, while junior Laura Baker finished tied for 31st after firing a 161 (77-84).
Meanwhile, UTSA's Orange squad finished in 11th place with a 344-330=674. Leading the way was sophomore Kayla McBride, who tied for 26th with a 79-80=159. Meanwhile, freshman Summer Batiste finished three strokes behind McBride and was tied for 33th.
UTSA returns to action in two weeks at the Women’s Duck Invitational on March 24-25 at Junction City, Ore.
