Junior Onika Anderson collected her fourth consecutive double-double on Saturday.

SAN ANTONIO ? Junior forward Onika Anderson posted her fourth straight double-double with a career-high 27 points and a game-best 14 rebounds to lead the UTSA women’s basketball team to its seventh consecutive win, 75-62, against Stephen F. Austin on Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.

Freshman guard Amber Gregg added a career-high 12 points, while senior forward Amanda Foster chipped in with 11 for the Roadrunners (15-6, 7-1 SLC). Junior guard Monica Gibbs, who dished a season-best 11 assists to push her career total to 401, inched closer to Tammy Rogers’ UTSA record of 406.

Jordan Ford paced Stephen F Austin (7-14, 4-5 SLC) with 14 points, while Decreasha Goodner added 13.

Foster gave UTSA a 38-28 edge on her second 3-pointer of the game to start the second half. The Ladyjacks closed the gap to three after an 11-4 run over the next four minutes. Gregg highlighted a Roadrunners' 9-0 spurt with back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead back to double digits at 51-39 with 10:14 remaining.

Anderson gave UTSA its largest lead of the game at 55-41 with a pair of free throws at the eight-minute mark. Natashia Green’s freebies pulled SFA within five (62-57) with 2:56 left, but it would be the closet the Ladyjacks would get the rest of the way, as UTSA drained 9-of-10 free throws down the stretch for the 13-point victory.

The Roadrunners started the game by making their first four shots in the first three minutes for an early 8-0 lead. Stephen F. Austin netted the next 10 points to grab its first and only lead of the game with 15:26 to play. Foster connected on a 3-pointer from the top of the key to push UTSA’s lead to 18-14 at the nine-minute mark and the Roadrunners then extended their lead to nine (29-20) when freshman guard Whitney York made good on a pair of free throws. The Ladyjacks pulled within seven (33-26) on jumper by Nikki Carr to end the half.

UTSA is back in action on Thursday when it hosts Southeastern Louisiana in a 7 p.m. contest at the Convocation Center.
