The UTSA men’s tennis team (0-2) was handed a 7-0 loss by Texas on Sunday afternoon at the Penick-AllisonTennisCenter.

The Longhorns (4-0) collected the doubles point for the 1-0lead.

Texas jumped to a 2-0 leadin singles play when Texas’ RookSchellenberghe defeated junior Andre Moreira at No. 5 singles. UT upped itslead to 3-0 when Dimitar Kutrovsky defeated junior Robin Fernandes 6-1, 6-0 at the No.1 spot. The Longhorns then clinched the match at the No. 3 position when MilanMihalovic handed freshman Max Stratmann a straight-sets loss (6-1, 6-0).

UTSA returns to action next Saturday, Feb. 9, when it hosts adoubleheader against St. Edward’s and LaredoCommunity College at the UTSATennisCenter.
