CORPUS CHRISTI ? Junior Laura Baker shot a third-round score of 79 on Tuesday to finish in ninth place (75-80-79=234) at the season-opening Islander Spring Classic, which was played at the Corpus Christi Golf Course.
Sophomores Laeni Bedzik and Shelly Martinez, who began the final round tied for 20th and 25th respectively, turned in a two-day total of 236 and finished tied for 13th place. Meanwhile. junior Allie Jordan finished tied for 42nd, while freshman Summer Batiste ended her tournament in 52nd place.
The Roadrunners return to action in two weeks at the SHSU/LU Spring Invitational in Huntsville.
