SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA men’s tennis team snapped its three-match losing streak with a 5-2 win against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center.
The Roadrunners (2-6) picked up the doubles point winning two of the three matches.
In singles action, UTSA won four of the six matches in straight sets.
SOSU tied the match at one via default at the No. 6 spot, but the Roadrunners went up 3-1 when junior Robin Fernandes and senior Adam Becker came off the court with victories at the No. 1 and No. 4 slots, respectively. Freshman Daniel Moreiras clinched the match for UTSA with a 6-1, 6-4 win against Jesse Buchanan at No. 5. Sophomore Rodrigo Morgado was the team's other winner on the afternoon, as he was victorious at the No. 2 position.
UTSA returns to action in two weeks when it travels to Louisiana for a three-match road swing from March 7-9.
