Junior Monica Gibbs had 12 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists on Thursday.

ARLINGTON ? Senior guard Terrie Davis and junior forward Onika Anderson both scored a game-high 14 points and junior guard Monica Gibbs just missed a triple-double to lead UTSA to its 10th win in a row, a 63-46 victory at UT Arlington on Thursday night.

Gibbs posted her fourth double-double of the season with a dozen points and game-high 11 rebounds and added a game-best eight assists for the Roadrunners (18-6, 10-1 SLC).

Tiffney Riles led the Mavericks (14-9, 9-3 SLC) with 12 points and six rebounds, while Meghan Nelson added 10 points.

Candice Champion’s 15-foot short jumper pulled UT Arlington within five at 34-29 with 18:18 to play in the second half. However, it would be closest the Mavericks would get the rest of the night. UTSA used a 27-4 run over the next 13 minutes to put the game away. That stretch gave the Roadrunners their largest lead of the night at 61-33. UT Arlington netted the contest's last 11 points for the final margin.

After UTSA scored the first 13 points of the game, a Riles jumper got UTA on the board at the 16:15 mark. The Roadrunners then pushed their lead to 16 when freshman Amber Gregg connected on a 3-pointer at the six-minute mark. UTA closed out the half on a 13-4 run to send the teams into the locker room with UTSA leading, 32-25.

The Roadrunners return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday when they host I-35 rival Texas State at the Convocation Center.
