SAN ANTONIO ? Looking for a one time opportunity to learn from championship athletes? UTSA Athletics is giving you the chance on Saturday, Feb. 23, before the Roadrunners women’s basketball team takes on I-35 rival Texas State at 2 p.m.
The Department of Athletics, in conjunction with Papa John's Pizza, will celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day. The activities will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Convocation Center and surrounding athletics fields. Each participant will learn the fundamentals of all of UTSA's women's sports programs.
The entry fee is $15 and includes a ticket to the women's basketball contest, a T-shirt, lunch and a special autograph session with the Roadrunners after the game. This day promises to be a time to remember for both the girls and athletes involved.
