LOS ANGELES, Calif. ? The UTSA women’s tennis fell 6-1 at No. 69 Loyola Marymount on Sunday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Center.
The Lions (1-7) won two of three double matches for the early 1-0 lead over the Roadrunners (2-5).
LMU then won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Bliss Nixon and Jasmin Heckel increased the Lions' lead to 3-0 when they came off the court at the No. 6 and No. 4 slots, respectively. Meanwhile, Tina Razloznik clinched the match for Loyola Marymount after dealing junior Monika Drabkova a 6-2, 6-3 loss at the No. 3 position. UTSA is back in action in two weeks when it opens Southland Conference play against Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana on March 1 and 2, respectively, at the UTSA Tennis Center.
