FRISCO ? Two more UTSA men’s basketball games have been picked up for regional television as part of the Southland Conference’s 47-game TV package, the league office announced late last week.
Eight conference games will be featured on Fox Sports Net (FSN) Southwest, which serves nearly eight million cable households in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. FSN Southwest will open with Central Arkansas at UTSA on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Convocation Center and UT Arlington at Sam Houston State on Jan. 30, both men’s games. Stephen F. Austin will travel to Texas State for a women’s matchup on Jan. 31.
In other men’s action on FSN Southwest, UTSA will play at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Feb. 2, Lamar will play at Texas State on Feb. 16, Stephen F. Austin hosts Sam Houston State on Feb. 21, and A&M-Corpus Christi hosts Lamar on Feb. 27.
FSN Southwest again will televise the SLC Women’s Basketball Tournament championship game, set for March 15, at the Merrell Center in suburban Houston. In addition, the SLC Men’s Tournament championship game will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16.
