Roadrunners fall at Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday

HAMMOND, La.

? The UTSA soccer team fell 2-0 at Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday afternoon in Southland

Conference action.

The Lady Lions (6-2-3, 1-0-1 SLC) scored the first goal of

the match when Candice Wallace received a pass from Janae Sheldon with 35

minutes remaining in the first half.

In second half action, SLU sealed the match on Danielle

Shank’s winner with less than six minutes to go in the match.

Sophomore Veronica Najera and freshman Joy Jarrell led UTSA

(3-7-1, 1-1 SLC) with two shots apiece. Sophomore goalie Kasi Hebert recorded three

saves on the day.



Shank posted a match-high five shots for the Lady Lions, while Wallace totaled

three shots and goalkeeper Holly Moran made five saves.

UTSA returns to action on Friday against

Stephen F. Austin at the UTSA Recreational Sports Complex. The match is scheduled

for 7 p.m.
