SAN ANTONIO ? Junior middle hitter Victoria Prior led three players in double figures with a match-high 15 kills and UTSA finished a successful week with a 30-23, 30-20, 30-24 sweep of Nicholls State on Saturday at the Convocation Center. It was the Roadrunners' third win since Wednesday and their second sweep in as many days.

UTSA (12-17, 4-8 SLC) opened the match with a convincing game one victory. The Roadrunners hit .353 and led from start to finish in the seven-point victory. UTSA continued its strong offense in the next frame, as it registered a .324 hitting percentage. Prior led the way with seven winners, as the Roadrunners broke open an 11-10 game with an 8-2 run. Trailing 18-14 in game three, UTSA closed out the sweep by scoring 16 of the final 22 points of the match.

Freshman middle hitter Valorie Rogers hit a match-best .522 on the strength of 13 winners and freshman outside hitter Kendra Rowland added a dozen winners and 14 digs for the Roadrunners.

Outside hitter Kindra Halverson led Nicholls State with 10 kills and three service aces, while libero Enjoli Ford posted 11 digs. The Colonels, who have lost nine in a row, saw their record fall to 8-20 overall and 2-10 in SLC play.

UTSA concludes its current five-match home stand with a pair of contests next week. The Roadrunners host SLC-leading Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. on Thursday before welcoming Sam Houston State for a 2 p.m. tilt two days later.
