NEW HAVEN, Conn.? The UTSA women’s golf team turned in a final round 322 on Sunday to finish in sixth place atthe Yale Intercollegiate.
The Roadrunners were led by freshman Janine Fellows, who carded an 82-78=160, to finish tied for 18th after starting the day in 34th place. SophomoreShelly Martinez ended her day tied for 23rd after shooting a 75-86=161.
Meanwhile, junior Laura Baker finished five strokes behindFellows with a two-day total 165 and was tied for 37th. Freshman Summer Batisteposted an 88-80=168 in her first collegiate tournament andsophomore Madison McClain finished in 75th.
UTSA returns to action next weekend (Oct. 6-7) at the Hawk Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
