SAN ANTONIO ? The UTSA men’s golf team heads to Newport, R.I., for the 14th Annual Adams Cup on Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 25-26. The two-day event will be held at the Newport National Golf Course (7,244 yards/par 72).
The Roadrunners are coming off a seventh-place showing at the Hawk Invitational last week in Bolton, Mass, where they put together a team total of 298-296-309=903.
Individually, UTSA was led by Senior Shane Costelleo, who finished in 16th place with a two-day total of 73-75-75=223 (+7). Meanwhile, seniors Sean Burch and Philipp Krohn each finished with a total of 227 and were tied for 21st, while senior Thomas Kearney ended his day tied for 33rd (77-74-80=231). Also in action was junior Kyle Collins, who capped off his tournament tied for 54th (74-82-82=238).
