? Meet information/live results

SAN ANTONIO ? UTSA senior All-American Ryanne Dupree and freshman Jessica Jones will represent the women’s track and field team at the AT&T USA Outdoor Championships and the Finish Line USA Junior Outdoor Championships, respectively, to be held in conjunction on June 20-24 at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

Dupree is fresh off a sixth-place finish in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 7-8 in Sacramento, Calif. The San Antonio East Central High product scored 5,773 points, her second-best mark ever, in picking up her third outdoor and fourth overall All-America certificate. The 10-time Southland Conference champion posted a career-best and school-record 5,818 points at the Texas Relays in April, which ranks her No. 7 in the field of 23 professional and collegiate athletes. An excellent hurdler, Dupree broke a seven-year-old school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a 13.25 at the Kansas Relays and improved that to a 13.23 in the first round of the NCAA Outdoor, advancing to the semifinal round.

This marks the third trip to the USA Outdoor for Dupree, who finished 10th with 5,523 points in 2005. That performance earned her a spot in the USA-Russia Heptathlon Challenge in The Netherlands later that summer.

The heptathlon kicks off with the 100m hurdles at 9 a.m. Central time on Friday.

Jones, who hails from Fresno, Texas, near Houston, makes her first trip to the USA Junior Outdoor. Her season-best time of 14.17 recorded at the Border Olympics on March 3 in Laredo ranks 17th in the field of 23 competitors in the 100m hurdles. Jones will pull double-duty as she is entered in the 400m hurdles, as well. Her season-best time of 1:02.65 clocked at the Bobcat Open on March 9 ranks 27th out of 31 athletes. She finished fifth in the 60m hurdles at the SLC Indoor in February, but was unable to compete at the outdoor conference championships due to injury. Jones and Dupree made up two legs of UTSA’s shuttle hurdle relay team that set a school record with a winning time of 56.91 at the Kansas Relays in late April.

The first round of the 100m hurdles is set for 10:45 a.m. with the final following shortly at 1 p.m. on Thursday. The first round of the 400m hurdles will begin at 12:50 p.m. Friday with the final at 2:35 p.m. Saturday.

Both meets serve as a key component in the selection process for Team USA competition at the following international meets: USA vs. Germany Decathlon & Heptathlon (August 18-19); Pan American Games (July 22-29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil); IAAF World Championships in Athletics (August 25 - September 2 in Osaka, Japan); NACAC Championships (July 13-15 in El Salvador, San Salvador; and USA vs. Africa (date TBD).
