SAN ANTONIO ? Senior Scott Briscoe, juniors Steven Brown and Cedric Harris and freshman Teddy Williams earned all-region honors for their performances at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on May 25-26 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Briscoe, Brown, Harris and Williams combined for a fifth-place finish in the men’s 4x100-meter relay, passing the baton to a season-best time of 40.12 to finish just ahead of Baylor in a loaded field.
Harris, a Port Arthur native, also registered a sixth-place showing in the 100m with a 10.42 clocking.
Briscoe closed out his UTSA career with his second all-region accolade as he was a member of the Roadrunners’ fifth-place 4x400m relay team in 2006. Brown also earned his second career certificate after a fourth-place finish in the long jump last year.
With the five honors this year, UTSA now has garnered 17 all-region certificates since 2004.
