SAN ANTONIO ? Janine Fellows, who signed with UTSA in November, ended her career at Clearbrooke High School with a second-place finish at the Texas 5A State Tournament on May 10-11 at the Roy Kizer Golf Course in Austin, Texas. Fellows carded a 71-68=139.
The Friendship, Texas, native headed to clubhouse with the lead, but Lauren Hassell from Houston Clear Lake capped off her day with a 139 to force sudden death playoff. Fellows fell to Hassell in the first-hole and finished second at state.
