WICHITA, Kan. – The UTSA men’s golf team finished in 14th place after a 326 in Tuesday’s final round (305-305-326=936) of the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic held at the Wichita Country Club.
Senior Matt Johnston shot a final-round 81 and finished tied for 39th place, while sophomore Kyle Collins ended his day one stroke behind Johnston (75-75-81=231). Freshman Simon Merry turned in a 78-77-81=236 and was tied for 54th place. Freshman Emiliano Martinez, who finished tied for 87th, carded an 86-82-83=251.
UTSA returns to action in two weeks when it travels to Kerrville for the 2007 Southland Conference Golf Championships on April 16-19 at Comanche Trace Golf Course.
