? The No. 6 seed UTSA women’s tennis team will host the 2007 Southland Conference Women’s Tennis Tournament this weekend and face No. 3 seed Texas-Arlington at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning at the UTSA Tennis Center.

The Roadrunners dropped their regular-season finale at Lamar, 4-3, on April 15. UTSA finished its season 12-8 overall and 6-5 in SLC play. The Mavericks enter the tournament with a 13-3 mark and 9-2 in conference action. UTA defeated UTSA, 7-0, on March 24 in Arlington.

“We are ready to go and they are focused for tomorrow's match against UTA.” head coach Erin Boisclair said. “We faced them before at their place, but this time around we have a different line up and are playing at home. It also helps that most of them played in last year’s tournament and they know what to expect this time around.”

The Roadrunners lost their first-round match at the 2006 SLC Tournament against Sam Houston State, 4-3.
