EUGENE, Ore.
– The UTSA women’s golf team ended Monday's first day of the Duck Invitational in 10th place with scores of 324-333=657 at the Shadow Hills Country Club.

Freshman Madison McClain struggled in the first round with an 83, but she bounced back with a 75 for a first-day total of 159 and is tied for 22nd place. Junior Lesan Gouge is tied for 25th after carding a 78-82=160. Meanwhile, sophomore Laura Baker is nine strokes behind Gouge (84-85=169).

The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
