SAN ANTONIO — What better way to get ready for Fiesta, than playing on a golf course located at the foot of the Texas Hill Country? Come out to the First Annual Consejo Golf Classic, “Tee Off To Fiesta”, Golf with Royalty. The price of the tournament, which is scheduled for Monday, April 16, includes all green frees, cart with GPS, driving range warm up, lunch, refreshments on the course and a full dinner buffet with complimentary wine.

Who are the Consejos?
This is the first fundraiser that is being sponsored by El Consejo Real de Reyes Feos Anteriores. The Consejo organization, comprised of former Rey Feos, was founded to support the reigning and future Rey Feos in raising scholarships for under-privileged youth of San Antonio. The funds raised from the golf tournament are for the promotion and continuation of the Rey Feo Scholarship Program. The Rey Feo program has raised more than $3 million for scholarships given to over 3,000 students!

Tournament Details
The tournament will be held at Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch. Registration and lunch will be from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. The shotgun start will be at 1 p.m. BBQ Dinner Reception and Awards will immediately follow the tournament. Cost for individual player is $150 and $600 for a foursome. Sponsorships, prizes and goodie bag items are still being accepted. Please call (210) 241-6644 for more information.

The half-day tournament will include lunch, driving range warm-up, green fees, refreshments, prizes and an awards dinner reception. Fiesta Royalty will also be at the tournament taking part in the tournament, volunteering, or just enjoying the exquisite Hill Country backdrop.

Tournament players will be awarded prizes for the Team Low Gross and first and second place for Team Low Net. A Mulligan Super Ticket can be purchased to receive entry into various contests: putting contest, long drive contest, closest to the pin contest, $100,000 Shoot Out and a Scratcher Card. Scratcher Card Prize includes a three-day/two-night vacation package to their choice of Cabo San Lucas or Puerto Vallerta (airfare not included). Caliente Harley Davidson will also be providing a scratch-off ticket for a donation of $25 for a chance to win a 2007 Harley Davidson.

Golf Club of Texas offers a 7,022 yard, par 72 course and is the only Lee Trevino Signature Course. As tournament players play throughout the course with the backdrop of the scenic South Texas countryside, they will have the Hill Country golf experience, surrounded by bluebonnets, cacti, and historic mesquite trees.
