AUSTIN –
Senior All-American Ryanne Dupree won two events with a pair of NCAA regional qualifiers to highlight a solid effort by the UTSA women’s track & field team on Saturday at the Texas Invitational at Myers Stadium.

Dupree clocked her fourth regional qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles in as many weeks, racing to a winning time of 13.62. She also leaped to a personal-best and regional-qualifying mark of 20-4 1/4 to win the long jump. That jump moves her into fourth place on the school’s all-time performers list.

The women’s 4x100m relay team of Dupree, junior Brittany Epps and sophomores Ashley Jackson and Shanelle Slaughter also was victorious, clocking a 46.03 to edge Texas State’s 46.28.

Dupree also cleared 5-7 in the high jump for second and tossed 124-11 for third in the javelin.

Junior Chelsea Malina was second in the javelin with a 129-3 measure, while the 4x400m relay also took runner-up honors in 3:48.61.

Third-place finishers included freshman Jessica Jones in the 100m hurdles (14.23), Slaughter in the 100m (12.09), Epps in the long jump (18-10 1/2) and sophomore Rikki Gray in the high jump (5-3).

The Roadrunners return to Austin in two weeks for the Texas Relays on April 4-7.
