GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The UTSA men’s golf team shot a final-round total 289 and finished in eighth place at the Ron Moore Invitational on Tuesday at the Palm Valley Golf Course. The Roadrunners carded a three-round total 860.
Junior Thomas Kearney capped off the tournament with a 2-under par (69-73-72=214) and finished tied for 19th place after posting a 72 on Tuesday. Freshman Simon Merry and senior Matt Johnston also shot 72 in the third round and finished the two-day tournament tied for 23rd place with a three-round total of 215. Sophomore Kyle Collins ended his day tied for 38th place (72-71-75=218).
The Roadrunners are back in action next week when they will compete at the Chenal Trojan Cup in Little Rock, Ark. The two-day event gets underway on Monday, March 26.
