HUNTSVILLE – Sophomore Tia Bogan led four UTSA players in double figures with a career-high 25 points and helped lead the Roadrunners to a 65-48 victory at Sam Houston State on Thursday night. UTSA won its third consecutive game and improved to 12-15 overall and 8-7 in the Southland Conference.
Sophomore Monica Gibbs collected her 11th double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 boards, while senior Vivian Ewalefo and junior Terrie Davis chipped in with 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Ratysha Alexander’s layup with 8:43 to go in the first half tied the game at 12, but UTSA used a 23-6 run to close out the frame for a 35-16 halftime lead. Ewalefo and Bogan combined for 16 of the 23 points scored during the run.
UTSA returns to the Convocation Center for its regular season finale against Stephen F. Austin on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the contest will be televised on Time Warner Cable channel 50.
