SPRINGFIELD, La. – The UTSA men’s golf team fired a final-round 303 on Tuesday and finished with a three-round total of 909 at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate held at the Carter Plantation Golf Course.
Junior Thomas Kearney (72-75-76=223) and freshman Simon Merry (74-76-73=223) ended the tournament tied for 21st place, while senior Matt Johnston shot a 74 in the final round to tied for 46th place (80-74-74=228). Also in action was junior Shane Costelloe, who finished tied for 66th with an 84-74-80=238.
UTSA travels Goodyear, Ariz., for the Ron Moore Invitational on March 19-20 at the Palm Valley Golf Course.
