Dupree named SLC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week

FRISCO — UTSA senior All-American Ryanne Dupree was named Southland Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Dupree led a strong effort by the UTSA women at the Bobcat Open last Friday in San Marcos, winning the 100-meter hurdles with her second regional qualifier in as many weeks -- a 13.82 clocking -- and the long jump (18-9 3/4), and also running the third leg on UTSA's victorious 400-meter relay (46.29). Dupree also finished second in the javelin (122-10) and high jump (5-4 1/4) and took third in the shot put (36-2 1/4). The three-time All-American won the 100m hurdles with a regional 13.51 and ran on winning 400m and 1,600m relay teams at the Border Olympics the previous weekend in Laredo.

The Roadrunners host the UTSA Relays this Friday-Saturday, March 16-17, at Blossom Stadium.
